Raise a pint with us this Norfolk Day
Our county is more than just where we live. It is our home and the source of everything that makes a pint of Woodforde’s so great. This Norfolk Day, we are raising a pint to this special corner of the world.
Every year on July 27 we join thousands in celebrating everything that makes Norfolk such an amazing place to live. The people, the landscape, the organisations – and, of course, the beer.
As the beer of Norfolk, we are proud of the way we champion our county. And you can taste that pride in every pint we brew.
The true taste of Norfolk
Norfolk is renowned for Maris Otter barley, the high-quality malt that combined with our passion for our heartland gives our beer the distinct flavour you just can’t find anywhere else.
But it isn’t just the malts that are sourced right here in Nelson’s County. The water for all our brews comes directly from an ancient aquifer located under our home in Woodbastwick.
You’ll also see the silhouette of our county’s greatest son, Admiral Horatio Lord Nelson, on our logo – not forgetting the multi-award-winning ale we named in his honour!
We also honour our county’s other great sailors through our famous Wherry ale, named after traditional barges that have navigated the Broads for hundreds of years.
If it’s the real taste of Norfolk you’re after, you just can’t beat Woodforde’s.
A pride in our county
As Norfolk’s premier brewery, we have been on an incredible journey since our humble beginnings in 1981. And that comes thanks to our customers, who have helped spread the Woodforde’s name throughout East Anglia and beyond.
It is only fair we return that love and invest in the organisations making a real difference to our local area.
That’s why this Norfolk Day we are looking to support a community sports team through an annual sponsorship.
Do you know a grassroots team who’d be the perfect fit? We’d love to hear why on our Facebook page.
