Woodforde’s storms into new market with its first ever low alcohol beer
Brewers have sparked a new era at Woodforde’s Brewery with the launch of its first ever low alcohol beer, Volt 0.5.
The arrival of the 0.5% IPA marks Woodforde’s first foray into the low and no alcohol market, which has seen a surge in popularity in recent years.
Volt 0.5 is brewed using the finest American hops to maximise its citrusy taste and pine aroma, while the voltage has been lowered for those looking for a low alcohol alternative to Woodforde’s multi-award-winning Volt IPA – all while retaining 100% of the same great taste that customers love.
Aaron Taubman, Head Brewer at Woodforde’s, said: “We are thrilled to make history at Woodforde’s with the unveiling of our first ever low alcohol beer.
“There’s been a real buzz in the team experimenting with what our first entry into the market might look like – but it was important for us to retain the great taste our customers know and love.
“Volt has continually been one of our most popular beers, so we’re pleased to have packed a real flavour punch into Volt 0.5 while keeping it light. It’s a really refreshing brew.”
The launch comes as people across the UK plan for a busy festive period as well as looking ahead for Dry January – when drinkers switch to low and no alcohol beer – with Aaron and his team pleased to give Woodforde’s fans something new to enjoy throughout the month.
Aaron added: “We want this beer to be accessible to as many people as we can, which is why we found it important to ensure Volt 0.5 is both vegan friendly and gluten free.”
Volt 0.5 is available to buy now on the Woodforde’s website, as well as in pubs across East Anglia.
