The name Great Eastern is more than just a nod — it’s a tribute to the historic Great Eastern Railway, which played a vital role in shaping Norfolk’s past. Since the 19th century, the railway connected the region to London and beyond, driving growth, opportunity, and connection.
Originally brewed to mark the railway’s 150th anniversary, this ale continues to celebrate that same sense of movement and shared experience — bringing people together, pint by pint.
Back for a Limited Time
After strong demand from drinkers and pubs alike, Great Eastern is returning as the third seasonal cask release of 2026. It’ll be pouring in pubs across Norfolk and beyond, but only for a short window.
As with all seasonal brews, it’s available exclusively in cask and only for one month — so once it’s gone, it’s gone. Pubs keen to feature Great Eastern are encouraged to order early to secure their stock.
