‘High and Rye’ unveiled as March Brewer Signature

One of Woodforde’s longest serving employees is the mastermind behind this month’s Brewer Signature offering.

There are few people in the world who know as much about Woodforde’s as Brewery Engineering Manager Trevor Middleton, who joined the team more than 30 years ago.

His offering, High and Rye, is the culmination of his three decades of knowledge obtained working in the brewhouse.

The 4.8% IPA is ruby red in colour with a dry, malty finish and is packed full of tropical fruit and citrus notes that pair perfectly with its rich rye flavour.

Trevor said: “I love working at Woodforde’s – so to have my name and face attached to one of our beers is such a proud moment for me.

“Myself and my partner, who works in the brewery shop, really enjoy the malty and rye flavours in this product.

“It has been great working with Aaron (Head Brewer) to bring my ideas to life. I know the punters will love it just as much as we do.”

High and Rye is the second addition to our limited edition Brewer Signature range, which features a different member of the Woodforde’s team and their dream beer creation each month.

It follows on from February’s offering, Hopstar, a 3.4% session IPA which was the brainchild of new Head Brewer Aaron Taubman.

Every beer in the range is available for just one month only and can only be found on cask.
