Lager is coming home with the relaunch of our new and improved English Lager.

The new-look lager is crafted using premium Norfolk barley together with a blend of innovative English hop strains in an homage to British brewing like no other.

The 4% beer is a crisp, clean and refreshing accompaniment to a bumper summer of sport – with the Euro’s, Wimbledon and T20 World Cup set to pack out pub beer gardens.

Aaron Taubman, our Head Brewer, said English Lager offers “100% English refreshment”.

He said: “It is great to unveil the new and improved English Lager.

“Its predecessor was a great beer, but didn’t capture the true character of what makes English lagers so special – their light yet delicious flavour which makes them perfect for the Great British summertime.

“What we have created here is exactly that – an easy drinking beer that is a true celebration of local ingredients and British brewing heritage.

“It is a homegrown masterpiece.”

English Lager spends more than three weeks in the tank to develop its characteristic flavour and finish – and served in specially designed glasses to concentrate its aroma.

Its arrival comes as we look to extend our offering of lighter beers, including lagers and IPAs to complement our nationally-revered cask ale range.

Aaron added: “English Lager is just the first name on the team sheet in our upcoming line up of lighter beers, which we are sure will prove a hit this summer and beyond.

English Lager is available to pubs in 30L kegs and 440mL cans, which are also available for purchase on our online store here.
