A traditional amber ale packed with floral and herbal flavours has been crafted as our September seasonal offering, marking the return of our popular Ale Trail.
Trail Ale will be available at our pubs for one month only to celebrate the return of the trail for the first time since 2022.
The 4.3% ale is brewed exclusively using UK-grown hops: Olicana, Progress and Challenger to give it fragrant notes of berries and spice, complemented by a malty base.
Aaron Taubman, our Head Brewer, said Trail Ale is a fitting tribute to the rich British tradition of beer festivals.
He said: “Our Ale Trail has become a real Norfolk tradition in recent years, so it’s important that we give a nod to the styles of beer enjoyed in festivals and trails from generations past."
“Trail Ale has a delightful floral and herbal flavour with a crisp and slightly bittersweet aftertaste, which we’re sure will see it go down a treat with the trail trekkers."
“We’ll be serving it at our launch weekend beer festival at the Fur and Feather – and I’m expecting it to go down very well."
“See you all out there on the trail!”
The two-day beer festival to mark the return of the Ale Trail will kick off on Friday, September 6 – the official start date of the trail.
More than 200 pubs across the country are taking part in this year’s Ale Trail – with venues from Norwich to Nottingham joining in the fun.
Punters can collect one sticker from each pub they buy a pint of Woodforde’s from, with those who collect the most able to claim a range of prizes including merchandise or a bespoke Woodforde’s experience.
Just like all our seasonal ales, Trail Ale will be exclusively available in cask for one month only.
